In 2008 at the Beijing Congress the prestigious IMPC Service Award was awarded for the first time to Nathaniel Arbiter.
In 2010 at the Brisbane Congress this award was made to Jacques Astier.
In 2014 at the Santiago Congress this award was presented to Barry Alan Wills
In 2016 (Quebec City Congress) the late Roberto Villas-Boas was selected as the winner of this Distinguished Service Award. Very sadly, Roberto died shortly before IMPC 2016 but his family in Brazil were very honoured and pleased to accept the award on his behalf.
