Proposals for an amendment to the Constitution can be submitted by any member of the International Advisory Committee or the Council (with at least two supporting signatures from persons who are members of either of these Committees).
Such submissions must be submitted to the Chairman at least one month prior to any formal meeting of Council.
A ⅔ majority of those present at the Council meeting is required to approve an amendment. Members unable to attend a meeting may cast a postal vote which must be received by the Chairman no later than one month prior to an International Mineral Processing Congress.
