The IMPC Commission on Industry/Academic Research was set up by former IMPC council member John Herbst, after the XXVIII Congress in Quebec City, Canada. The current version of the survey is a continuation of the work then initiated and is now accessible online.
The information obtained from this survey will be regularly updated and made available through this website. The outcome of the survey will serve as a portal for anyone wishing to obtain information on the activities of research groups around the world engaged in the area of mineral processing. The survey will be open for responses until four weeks prior to the XXX IMPC Congress in Cape Town, South Africa (October 2020). For the purpose of this survey, the field of mineral processing has been defined as all processes that are designed to obtain elements of economic importance directly from mineral resources (through comminution followed by concentration and/or leaching and/or smelting) or from urban resources (also known as recycling). We kindly ask you to only submit this survey in case you dedicate the majority of your time as professional to research activities within the field of mineral processing as defined above.
